The Master’s in Men’s Tailoring at Istituto Secoli responds to the growing demand for professionals capable of combining formal rigor, technical expertise, and mastery of tailoring processes, enhancing true Made in Italy and the excellence of craftsmanship. The objective is to train experts able to reinterpret the classic language of men’s tailoring while considering contemporary needs in terms of comfort, functionality, and sustainability, in a constant balance between traditional savoir-faire and innovation.
The program guides students towards the creation of unique and impeccable bespoke menswear. After consolidating the foundations of design, pattern making, and garment construction, the training intensively focuses on laboratory work, the operational heart of the Master’s. Here, highly experienced Master Tailors transmit high-level tailoring methodologies and techniques, such as basting, quilting, and the manual creation of buttonholes and eyelets, allowing students to develop the technical and methodological mastery characteristic of an authentic Master Tailor.
Who is this course suitable for?
Aimed at young graduates in design-related fields (even those different from Fashion Design) or industry professionals who have already gained significant experience in product development, it is the ideal choice for those aspiring to a unique specialization in the field of high-end men’s tailoring. The program is specifically designed to acquire and master the complex and refined techniques of tailoring and bespoke craftsmanship, thus entering a market segment that demands the highest quality of craftsmanship and the methodological expertise characteristic of a Master Tailor.
What are the career prospects?
The Master’s prepares highly specialized young professionals, ready to enter the highest value-added phases of artisanal production, particularly in luxury tailoring shops, ateliers, and brands that produce men’s tailored clothing collections.
At the same time, the course ensures comprehensive methodological preparation, providing all the necessary techniques to operate in any phase of designing a men’s fashion collection. The skills acquired allow graduates to fill key roles across the industry, such as those related to the Style Office (as a Fashion Designer, Fashion Illustrator, or Illustrator), the Product Office (Product Manager), and the Pattern Making Office (Pattern Maker).

The course includes 1295 hours of classroom training.
Attendance is mandatory and full-time, with classes from Monday to Friday for a total of 27.5 hours per week.
