Is the Degree Recognized?
Yes. The First Level Academic Diploma is part of the AFAM (MUR) system. We also offer specialization masters, intensive/vocational, executive, and online courses.
What are the Admission Requirements?
High school diploma, orientation interview, and for some programs, a portfolio. The Orientation Office guides you step-by-step through the application.
Do I Need to Already Know how to Draw or Sew?
It is not mandatory. The Secoli Method starts from solid foundations and gradually leads to pattern making, prototyping, and digital development.
How Practical is the Course?
Very much: workshops, pattern making, 2D/3D CAD, prototyping, and projects with companies. The goal is to convert creativity into a product.
Can I Work while Studying?
AFAM programs are full-time. If you have work commitments, consider evening/Saturday courses or short programs.
Do you offer internships? How does placement work?
Yes. There is a Placement Service that publishes opportunities and supports integration; educational projects are often co-signed with brands.
What Language is Used in the Classroom?
Primarily Italian; support in English is provided for international students and bilingual teaching materials are available for selected modules.
What are the Career Opportunities?
Fashion designer, pattern maker/CAD pattern maker, product developer, prototyper, roles in style office and product office.
What Equipment is Needed?
A basic lab kit; for digital modules, a laptop suitable for the software indicated at the start of the course is recommended.
Do You Provide Assistance for Accommodation and International Student Procedures?
Yes: support for accommodation, visa/residence permit, insurance, and initial procedures in the city.
