The Master in Haute Couture and Bridal Wear at Istituto Secoli is an exceptional program that captures the renewed focus of the fashion industry on the historical values of Made in Italy: craftsmanship, attention to detail, and “know-how.” The program is designed for those who wish to enter an exclusive world of precious details, refined tailoring, and high-quality materials, allowing them to understand not only the technique but also the aesthetic and creative language of an extraordinary sector where each garment tells a unique story, whether intended for the runway, private clients, or the most important occasions in life.
After acquiring solid creative and design foundations, students focus on advanced Haute Couture techniques, such as embroidery, moulage, and complex processes. These skills are imparted directly by master artisans and experienced Premieres. The goal is twofold: to ensure students master the most refined techniques of Italian tailoring tradition, while also encouraging the ability to innovate and reinterpret these methodologies in a contemporary way.
Who is this course suitable for?
Targeted at young graduates in design fields (even those other than Fashion Design) or industry professionals who have already gained significant experience in product development, it is the ideal choice for those aspiring to a unique specialization in Women’s Haute Couture and Bridal Wear. The program is specifically designed to acquire and master the complex and refined techniques of tailoring, thus becoming part of a market segment that demands the highest quality craftsmanship and technical expertise.
What are the career prospects?
The Master prepares young professionals ready to enter the stages of high-value-added craftsmanship, particularly in Haute Couture ateliers, Bridal Wear studios, and brands specializing in these types of collections.
At the same time, the course provides comprehensive preparation to operate in any phase of designing and creating a women’s fashion collection. The skills acquired enable one to hold key cross-industry roles, such as those related to the Style Office (as a Fashion Designer, Illustrator, or Sketch Artist), the Product Office (Product Manager), and the Pattern Office (Pattern Maker).
Class Schedule
The course includes 1,375 hours of classroom training.
Attendance is mandatory and full-time, with classes from Monday to Friday (with some Saturdays) totaling 30 hours per week.
The lessons will be delivered primarily in person, given the importance of laboratory activities in the curriculum, but with the support of various digital applications.
