Novara industry project
Novara industry project
A “tailored and situated” training program, for and with partner companies, where the Secoli Method interprets the professional needs of company prototyping departments and transforms them into an educational path that faithfully recreates the work environment and promotes the growth of a shared professional culture, integrates the methodologies and experience of the Secoli team’s training with the professional expertise of prototypists from companies, and concludes by opening doors to the brands’ prototyping departments through an internship.
The school thus becomes a “Talent Garden” designed to attract, select, and train new fashion makers who are preparing to enter the “Factory Academies” to complete their training, learn brand-specific product and process requirements, and begin their professional growth journey.
Fashion Product Prototyping
The Fashion Product Prototyping course is an advanced specialization program designed for high school or university graduates. Prototyping is an essential phase in developing a fashion collection that embodies the unique research, originality, quality, and fit characteristics of Made in Italy.
On one hand, it completes and refines the product development process, and on the other, it prepares the collection for mass production: the prototypist has tailoring knowledge and can construct a complete garment with the highest manufacturing quality while interacting with the designer and pattern maker during the fitting correction and collection industrialization phases.
Consequently, the training program begins with the study of patterns, raw materials, and fabrics, focuses on practicing cutting techniques and methodologies, pressing, industrial and tailoring construction, draping and garment fitting correction, and addresses the criteria and methodologies for product industrialization and quality control. Learning takes place in a dynamic group work environment aimed at fostering collaboration, responsibility, autonomy, and cooperation among participants.
