SECOLI FASHION SHOW 2026 | MENTAL SPACES

Creating an idea by traversing a path that goes from concrete to abstract thought, then returning to a reality transformed by experience. It is a creative process of interpretation and experimentation that generates a living space, capable of safeguarding past, present, and future: a space for expression, action, and freedom, understood not just as a method but as a mental attitude.

This path leads to “divergent thinking,” as defined by the American psychologist J. P. Guilford: a fundamental dimension of creativity that explores multiple possibilities and generates innovative solutions by applying “Design Thinking,” an approach that constructs and deconstructs, moves beyond patterns, and values emotional meaning as the key to interpreting innovation. In this vision, creation becomes not just an object, but a process, a gesture, an intention, a transformation.

CONCEPTUAL EXPERIMENTATION

Consumption is uninterrupted, and the surface is transformed into a place characterized by incessant metamorphosis. From this transformation, a new form emerges that asks to be observed in its essence, revealing its trace. Experimentation arises from re-evaluation: what has been removed is reassembled into a new order, taking on an unexpected meaning. From this tension, a fracture is born between the eye and perception: what is seen no longer coincides with what was thought to be known, and in this distance, meaning is renewed.

Giving shape is not just the modeling of an object, but making visible the time that has passed through it, the consumption that has transformed it, and the relationship that makes it alive.

Ethical Experimentation

Ethical experimentation stems from the desire to go beyond what society already considers right, presenting itself as a gesture that challenges established values to propose new, more authentic ones, demonstrating their subvertible balance. Those who experiment ethically choose to oppose stability, making it meaningful. The goal is to shake consciences and look beyond, toward a freer ideal of beauty, performing an act of radical verification. Through provocation, pushing boundaries becomes a critical tool, revealing that a living ethics is made of continuous questioning. At the end of the process, what remains is a new awareness: art becomes an essential tool for understanding humanity and society.

MATERIAL experimentation

Constant change of reality and matter in a dynamic equilibrium. Matter appears alive, pulsating: a vibrational field characterized by rhythmicity, representing the very essence of the material world. The vibrational field presents itself as an energetic space, a subtle dimension of matter itself, invisible yet real, where a fertile and intermediate area resides—the interstice where anything can happen and where possibilities and potential are generated, revealing its unpredictable nature.

It is here that the mirror function of the new matter is born, capable of reflecting a transformed perception.

performative experimentation

Performing an action capable of giving shape, molding, and modeling reality. Today, the performative act does not produce reality; it simulates it, repeating it until it becomes saturated, sterile, and devoid of consequences. We live immersed in an uninterrupted staging that does not open possibilities but consumes them. The performative act no longer impacts reality; every emotion is filtered, distilled, and refined until it becomes pure form. A ritual of resignation that transforms into an act of rebirth, becoming a place of experimentation, a concrete experience of the possible. Only then does performance return to being an essential gesture, capable of recovering its original strength.

SOCIAL EXPERIMENTATION

Threshold societies are collectivities living suspended between a past order and a new, undefined configuration. It is the collective threshold that projects the individual into a state of non-place, non-identity: here, the subject is forced to redefine themselves. Loss is not absence, but a field of infinite developable social configurations: the person is an integral part of a system in which meaning is collectively constructed. Diasporic communities become laboratories for social experimentation, from which new ways of communicating emerge: the social sphere gains the ability to renew itself, remaining adaptive and alive; loss is transformed into a collective generative force.

VISUAL EXPERIMENTATION

The space where seeing becomes thinking and thinking becomes a gesture: a place that thinks, breathes, fills, and empties, gathering voices, bodies, and silences that are imprinted in memory as living signs. The gaze traverses, touches, and constructs; the mind looks, understands, reformulates, and looks again, each time differently. It is in this continuous crossing that vision becomes thought and thought takes shape. Visions multiply, contaminate, and intertwine. Every eye constructs its own reality, and in this multiplicity, every perception is a creation. Thinking with the gaze means letting the mind pass through the vision. In its movement, reality shatters and reassembles; perception becomes experience.
