The The two-year Men’s Pattern Making course at Istituto Secoli is designed for those who wish to specialize in the design of patterns and the creation of prototypes for men’s clothing, following the renowned Secoli Method. Ideal for those already working in the fashion industry, it allows for the deepening of technical and tailoring skills without compromising professional commitments, combining artisanal tradition, technical method, and innovation.
The program trains pattern makers and prototypists capable of translating ideas and sketches into tangible garments, enhancing their professionalism in tailoring, prototyping, or technical pattern making areas. Focusing on men’s clothing, the course enables the acquisition of specific skills in fit, proportions, volumes, and sartorial details typical of menswear, essential for creating jackets, trousers, shirts, vests, jackets, overcoats, and other types of men’s garments.
By following this program, students learn to combine technique, creativity, and precision, becoming protagonists of the quality and excellence that have made Made in Italy famous.
Who is this course suitable for?
The course is aimed at students with a strong background in pattern making and fashion industry professionals who wish to update and deepen their technical skills, specializing in pattern making and the tailoring of men’s clothing.
What are the career prospects?
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to develop their careers in the technical design phases of a men’s clothing collection, working in all professions related to the Model Office (Pattern Maker) and Prototyping (Prototype Tailor), both as freelance professionals and in industrial, service, or artisanal companies.
Class Schedule
The course includes 360 hours of lessons each year.
Attendance is mandatory with classes every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:45 PM to 3:45 PM for a total of 6 hours per week.
