Designer to watch with the “Transition” collection.

“Transition” as if to indicate a transitory moment. There are three elements from which the collection draws inspiration and through which volumes, textures, and fabrics develop: Sicily as the designer’s place of origin; London as a place of breaking with the past and the beginning of a new present; the artist Agostino Bonalumi who, with his plastic works, visually and conceptually recalls something both static and dynamic, abstractly encapsulating what the term “transition” aims to communicate. Part of the Shapes Development begins with the use of the artist’s references, using boning as a “technical” support to recreate volumes that recall his works, inserted into different contexts such as jersey, or stable fabrics like wool, cotton, or angora; details recalling rural fabrics blend with bold colors like Bonalumi’s yellow, merging with the irreverent aesthetic of punk. Torn, stained fabrics, with a story to shout.
