Designer to Watch with the collection “LOVE LETTER FROM SICILY“
“Love Letter From Sicily” is inspired by an interview with an Austrian photographer regarding his latest exhibition, which shares the same title as the collection. During the interview, the photographer is asked, “Why are so many foreign photographers fascinated by Italy?” to which he replies, “Because our Peninsula has a great power of fascination, seduction, and enchantment.” Within the collection, great attention is paid to Made in Italy and the concept of beauty, understood as an aesthetic characteristic, a product in art. It is important for everyone to seek their own vision of beauty; without it, life loses its meaning. Made in Italy and craftsmanship, as well as manual work, are reflected in the “Love Letter From Sicily” garments through crochet work and embroidery—explicit references to Sicily, the designer’s homeland.
