Istituto Secoli, the Milanese fashion school promoting the culture of Made in Italy worldwide and a fashion hub cultivating international talent, presents its year-end runway event on June 7: the Secoli Fashion Show.
Over 100 outfits will be on the runway, created by more than 50 involved designers who designed and fully realized the garments.
The major highlight of this edition is the “Designer to Watch” project: young designers from the Institute, selected from the graduates of the last academic year who have already distinguished themselves in the fashion scene for their creative ideas, open the event, each with an original capsule collection consisting of 6 outfits.
They are: Federica Zaletti, Greta Moroni, and Filippo Todisco.
Following on the runway are the outfits of QUOD SIGNUM, the title of the concept created for 2018. A conceptual vision of fashion expressed in five collections: Graphic Sign, the Sign beyond the Body, Color as Sign, the Body as Sign, and between Body and Nature. From this perspective, the garment is seen primarily as a sign covering the body, capable of expressing a precise meaning.
