The collaboration continues between Istituto Secoli and Asahi Kasei Fibers Italia, a leading Japanese company in the production of textile fibers. As in previous years, one of the clothing collections to be featured in the Secoli Fashion Show will be made entirely of fabrics using Cupro yarn, the company’s flagship fiber. Furthermore, on Tuesday, May 21, Dr. Coda, representing Asahi Kasei Italia, visited Istituto Secoli to present Cupro yarn to first-year students.
Following an introduction by President Stefano Secoli, Dr. Coda demonstrated the characteristics and qualities of Cupro yarn to the students, explaining that through a highly complex production process, this yarn achieves the best properties of cotton (such as fineness and breathability). The “magic” of this entirely ecological process—hence the slogan “a touch of nature”—is a hallmark of the Japanese company, which has remained the world’s sole producer of Cupro yarn since 1931.
Knowing he was addressing an audience of fashion talents, Dr. Coda emphasized that details are what make a garment unique, explaining that if the lining is made with Cupro yarn, the garment is of high quality.
“A Touch of Nature,” a touch of nature that always leaves a positive message at Istituto Secoli—an experience not to be missed and to be maintained over time.
