The collaboration continues with Lectra, a world-leading company in the field of technological solutions.
Students from the MENSWEAR MASTER’S program were hosted by the company for a day dedicated to collection cutting.
During the day, the Lectra technician focused on a comprehensive lesson regarding automatic cutting with Vector machines and Lectra hardware solutions; the students, therefore, attended an intensive workday where they had the opportunity to experience firsthand the cutting of a garment from their thesis.
The work began with the creation of the paper pattern, which was subsequently entered using digitization systems and processed with Lectra CAD systems.
After completing the model on the computer, the students performed the placement fabric by fabric and subsequently carried out the cutting at the company.
The Master’s course students will soon complete their training with their thesis defenses. These will then be available online along with short interviews.
We would like to wish everyone the best of luck and thank Lectra once again for this precious collaboration.
