In 2018, the Italian fashion school Istituto Secoli launched a collaboration with the “Humen Cup“, one of the most renowned fashion competitions for young talents in China.
This marks the first time Istituto Secoli has collaborated with a fashion competition in China, following the inauguration of its new campus in Guangzhou three years ago, which established strong relationships with local fashion industry associations.
To encourage young talent and in its capacity as co-organizer of the “Humen Cup”, Istituto Secoli will support the winners by offering them study programs—in Milan and at the Guangzhou Campus—to deepen their knowledge of the art of Patternmaking. The first-place winner, among other prizes and recognitions, will have the opportunity to attend a one-year Master’s program at Istituto Secoli (a scholarship worth approximately 160,000 RMB). For the two runners-up, the School will offer a two-year Sunday course in womenswear patternmaking and tailoring at the Guangzhou location (a scholarship worth approximately 59,800 RMB). Finally, the three third-place winners will receive the opportunity to study in Guangzhou for two years—Sunday Course: womenswear patternmaking and tailoring (a scholarship worth approximately 29,900 RMB).
