Starting Saturday, January 13, at the Archivio di Stato di Milano, two outfits by Istituto Secoli student Rebecca Formenti, who attended the Master in Lingerie and Bridal Wear, will be on display as part of the exhibition “Rosa Genoni (1867-1954): a woman conquering the 20th century.”
Both creations, on public display for the first time, were designed and produced based on interpretations of patterns and descriptions found in the book written by Rosa Genoni, “Per una moda italiana: modelli, saggi, schizzi di abbigliamento femminile, 1906-1909”: the first is inspired by the Winged Victory of Samothrace, while the second is inspired by the Egyptian Kalasiris.
We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition!
Given the enthusiastic critical response and to accommodate requests from the public enjoying the guided tours, the closing of the fashion section of the exhibition has been extended to February 11, 2018.
