On November 11 and 13, our Institute had the pleasure of hosting the students of the Master in Fashion Experience & Design Management (MAFED) SDA Bocconi for the two-day “Hands on Making Fashion” workshop. 

The first day introduced participants to collection development processes and illustrated the technical aspects of pattern making, garment construction, and supporting graphic and CAD tools. At the end of the day, there was a brief practical session: the students, assisted by the instructors and divided into groups, developed their own moodboards.  

During the second day, the basic concepts of pattern making and paper pattern construction were addressed, which the group applied through practical examples and a final quality check on several outerwear garments by comparing measurements between paper patterns and prototypes.
