Ornella Bignami is a lecturer for the Knitwear Master’s degree. Skilled in deciphering major trends and social changes, she has gained credibility and experience in the international textile and fashion industry. Since 1979, she has led the Milan-based creative consultancy firm Elementi Moda. She boasts extensive experience in the field of knitwear, developing knit collections and prototypes for knitting mills and spinning mills. She has collaborated extensively with SHIMA SEIKI, a manufacturer of electronic knitting machines, experimenting with the most advanced technologies. She has also worked with Pitti Filati on the research and development of creative manufacturing processes. . She is a member of recognized international trend forecasting groups. She provides training for textile and fashion institutes as well as for companies on the topics of innovation and sustainability.
