cor corsi modellistica 6 1

The two-year Women’s Pattern Making course at Istituto Secoli is designed for those who wish to perfect their skills in pattern design and prototype creation for women’s clothing, following the renowned Secoli Method. Ideal for those already working in the fashion industry, it allows for the development of technical and tailoring skills without compromising professional commitments, combining artisanal tradition, technical methodology, and innovation.
The program trains pattern makers and prototypists capable of translating ideas and sketches into concrete garments, enhancing their professionalism in tailoring contexts, prototyping, or in the technical areas of pattern making. Focusing on women’s clothing, the course enables the acquisition of specific skills in fit, proportions, volumes, and tailoring details, essential for creating dresses, trousers, skirts, suits, blazers, outerwear, and complex models such as kimonos and garments with raglan sleeves.
Following this path, students learn to combine technique, creativity, and precision, becoming protagonists of the quality and excellence that have made Made in Italy famous.

Who is this course suitable for?

The course is aimed at students with strong pattern-making preparation and fashion industry professionals who wish to update and deepen their technical skills, specializing in pattern making and women’s clothing construction.

What are the career prospects?

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to develop their careers in the technical design phases of a women’s clothing collection, working in all professions related to the Pattern Department (Pattern Maker) and Prototyping (Prototype Tailor), both as freelance professionals and in industrial, service, or artisanal companies.

Class Schedule

The course includes 360 hours of lessons each year.

Attendance is mandatory with classes every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:45 PM to 3:45 PM for a total of 6 hours per week.

The lessons will be delivered primarily in person, given the importance of laboratory activities in the curriculum, but with the support of various digital applications.
