Classes resume – Here is what’s new –

Classes resume on October 2 at Istituto Secoli, one of the most prestigious fashion schools located in Porta Venezia, in the heart of Milan.

This year, the Institute has 510 enrolled students, 45% of whom are international from over 30 different nationalities: the largest student communities come from China and South Korea, followed by Brazil, Japan, Russia, Taiwan, and the USA.

Young graduates with a strong passion for clothing have the opportunity to specialize here by choosing from one-year, three-year, or Master’s courses in Fashion Design, Patternmaking, and Tailoring for men and women. The method taught at Istituto Secoli is unique in the fashion industry, internationally recognized and sought after by companies. The courses provide comprehensive training, and students learn all the steps of designing a fashion collection, from the initial idea to the final creation. Teaching takes place in a welcoming, focused environment with selected students from all over the world, which encourages learning and daily interaction with peers and faculty.

Among this year’s educational innovations is a Fitting and Pattern Correction Course in the field of women’s patternmaking, aimed at former students and professionals in the clothing industry. The course, starting next November, is taught by Mario Argentieri, a professor at Istituto Secoli who for years served as head patternmaker for Gianni Versace and Dolce & Gabbana, and Danilo Migliorini, a Business Organization Consultant specializing in production process optimization. The course is divided into three modules: dresses, trousers, and outerwear. For each module, the most frequent defects that can occur when making these garments will be analyzed theoretically and resolved practically.

For students in Puglia, Istituto Secoli will participate with its own dedicated stand at the Salone dello Studente, Campus Orienta, in Bari from November 22 to 24. Abroad, Istituto Secoli will be present at the European Education Fair in Taipei, Taiwan on October 14 and 15, 2017. On October 19 in Almaty in Kazakhstan, on October 21 in Baku in Azerbaijan, on October 22 in Tbilisi in Georgia, and finally in Russia in Moscow on October 28 and in St. Petersburg on the 29th.

Furthermore, the dates for the Open Days at the Milan headquarters will soon be available online. Here, students can visit the campus, meet the faculty, participate in workshops, request information, schedule appointments, and undergo the selection interview for course admission. These are excellent opportunities to get to know Istituto Secoli closely and make a reliable choice for entering the world of fashion.
