cor prototipia del prodotto moda 246 2

An experiential highly specialized course that combines technical training and professional practice with a concrete and hands-on approach. At the core of the program is the art of sewing, a fundamental skill of the prototype maker, which allows for a deep understanding of the garment structure and perfecting every step of the production process. An exclusive course that guides students through all phases of the production process — from studying the model and materials to cutting techniques, garment construction, draping, and quality control — with a strong focus on product industrialization.

The experience is completed with company visits and a six-month internship at one of the partner brands: a unique opportunity to make direct contact with the working world and Italian manufacturing excellence.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH:
CANALI – GUCCI – HERNO – LORO PIANA – VERSACE – ZAMASPORT – ZEGNA

Who is this course suitable for?

Graduates and recent graduates in fashion-related fields and those who have completed post-diploma courses and wish to pursue a technical, practical, and manual profession such as that of a prototype maker.
During the selection process, knowledge and skills in the fashion field — acquired through both formal and informal paths — along with familiarity with the use of sewing machines are considered added values.

What are the career prospects?

Upon successfully passing the final exam, students will be able to access the main professions related to prototyping within fashion industry companies.

The first entry into the working world will be through a mandatory internship at the end of the course, activated at one of the partner companies collaborating on the training project (Canali, Gucci, Herno, Loro Piana, Versace, Zamasport, and ZEGNA).

Class Schedule

The course includes 1140 hours of classroom training.

Attendance is mandatory and full-time, with classes from Monday to Friday for a total of 30 hours of lessons per week plus 5 hours of practical exercises distributed throughout the week.

The lessons will be delivered primarily in person, given the importance of laboratory activities in the curriculum, but with the support of various digital applications.
