Please note that the new session of “Three-year Women’s Patternmaking” will begin on January 26, 2015. This post-diploma course is designed for those who wish to learn every step of creating a women’s clothing collection, focusing and specializing in pattern design and prototype garment construction.

The three-year program includes the stylistic study of the garment, pattern design, the use of major CAD software, garment construction, and fitting of the sample garment.

Among the courses we offer to high school graduates, this one best expresses the philosophy and history of Istituto Secoli, where since 1934 we have passionately trained generations of patternmakers and tailors who have helped build the uniqueness of “Made in Italy” within the global fashion landscape.

The program is structured to provide graduating students the opportunity to enter the fashion world in areas related to technical design phases, prototype construction, or within a tailoring atelier: we train patternmakers, prototypists, and tailors; this is our mission, upheld through eighty years of success.
