Following the success of the first edition, a new session of the refresher course focused on “Defect Correction – Womenswear and Menswear” will resume in October. 

Correcting defects has always represented the most complex and delicate phase of a patternmaker’s craft; when executed successfully, it distinguishes a senior patternmaker.  

The course is divided into five three-day workshops, and each is dedicated to the fitting and correction of a different type of garment. For womenswear, the sessions will focus on: THE DRESS, TROUSERS, AND OUTERWEAR; for menswear, they will focus on: OUTERWEAR and TROUSERS. These latter training sessions, dedicated to defect correction in menswear, represent the most significant addition to the 2018/2019 edition of the course.
