In recent days, we had the pleasure of hosting Ornella Bignami at the Institute—the driving force behind the creative consultancy firm Elementi Moda Milano and Education Supervisor of the ALLIANCE FOR FLAX-LINEN & HEMP, the only European agro-industrial association that brings together and promotes every stage of the flax and hemp supply chain, from the field to the finished product in Italy. Ornella Bignami held a seminar at our Milan headquarters to illustrate the countless characteristics of European linen and hemp across all sectors of use: fashion, home, furniture, composites, and technical products. As it does every year, the meeting provided our first-year students with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of these fibers and their many properties.
