Greta Moroni is a 23-year-old Italian designer, born in Milan in 1993 and a student at Istituto Secoli in Milan. Moroni presents the S/S 2018 womenswear collection titled Utopia for a Positive World. The garments are the translation of an achievable utopia: it is possible to live in a better place and spread positive messages. This extremely versatile collection embraces a philosophy of life mindful of nature and invites deep reflection on global pollution. The palette plays with black and white tones, featuring extensive material research and a focus on eco-sustainability: organic cotton, hemp, linen, and Newlife yarn produced 100% from recycled plastic bottles. Finally, handmade embroidery and all-over lettering enrich the creations.
The collection was selected for the final of the first edition of the International Ecologic Fashion Design Contest, the first Chinese competition dedicated to environmental respect, organized by the Shenzhen Garment Industry Association.
The theme of the competition is Awakening-Original, Green, Healthy.
A jury of fashion industry experts will present the awards to the winners on December 12 in Shenzhen.
