Gian Mario Borney has been teaching Fashion Economics and Marketing at Istituto Secoli since 2022. Since completing his university studies at Bocconi with a specialization in International Marketing, his professional path has always remained focused on textiles, fashion, and luxury on an international level. He has alternated significant strategic consulting experiences, working for prestigious American and Italian firms on projects for major luxury brands and in the distribution sector, holding management roles for industry-leading companies and serving as a lecturer at prominent institutions. Today, he possesses a diverse wealth of experience and knowledge, along with a rare global strategic perspective on the macro and micro dynamics of this complex industry, which is currently facing a future full of challenges and opportunities. He is the co-author of the book published in July 2021 by Bocconi Press, “The Branded Supply Chain,” which addresses the innovative theme of sustainability as an opportunity to generate brand value.
“Teaching represents a joyful opportunity to share my wealth of experience and perspectives with the talents of the future. My ambition is to help them contextualize the complex transformations taking place in this industry and its markets, while also trying to pass on the passion and curiosity that—even today, after many years of professional activity—people say still characterize me “.
