Angela Madesani is an art historian, independent curator, and author of numerous volumes; among these are Immagini di una storia. Fotografia italiana in bianco e nero dalla collezione Rita e Riccardo Marone and Le intelligenze dell’arte published by Nomos Edizioni, Le icone fluttuanti and Storia della fotografia, published by Bruno Mondadori. She collaborates with the magazine Artribune and has taught History of Photography at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan since 1997. She has curated exhibitions at public and private institutions in Italy and abroad. These include Utopie quotidiane at the P.A.C. in Milan, the first edition of the European Photography Festival in Reggio Emilia, the exhibition Kaléidoskope d’Italie at the CNA in Dudelange (Luxembourg), and the Biennale Donna in Ferrara. She has been a Lecturer in History and Criticism of Contemporary Fashion at Istituto Secoli since 2022.
