We are pleased and proud to announce that the Three-year Course in Fashion Design and Fashion Product Technologies at Istituto Secoli has been recognized by the MUR with Ministerial Decree No. 1262 of September 25, 2023: starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, Istituto Secoli is authorized to award the First-level Academic Diploma, equivalent to a First-level University Degree.

The Course in Fashion Design and Fashion Product Technologies is structured, in accordance with the study plans of the Higher Institutes for Artistic Industries (ISIA), into a three-year program for the attainment of 180 educational credits (CFA).

The Ministerial Decree certifies the continuous development path of Istituto Secoli which, founded in 1934, is among the first fashion and haute couture schools established in Italy. Over the decades, the Institute has promoted the study and knowledge of design and production processes, responding to the evolution of the sector: from made-to-measure to ready-to-wear creations—which took place between the 1940s and 1950s—to the organization of industrial processes that have marked the evolution of contemporary fashion. Throughout all these phases of expansion, Istituto Secoli has established itself as an authoritative partner for fashion brands and haute couture ateliers, becoming a reference point for generations of fashion designers and fashion makers who began their journey here.

The knowledge and acquisition of design and manufacturing methodologies, distinctive of the best Made in Italy productions, form an integral part of the Institute’s identity, which is constantly focused on research and experimentation, and represent the educational core of the accredited three-year program.
