On May 21, a master class by Istituto Secoli titled “Being a Leader in Fashion & Luxury: the Italian experience” was organized at the Ivanovo State Polytechnic University in Russia, conducted by Chief Operating Officer Giorgio Secoli and Dr. Gian Mario Borney, Fashion Executive and Consultant.

The lecture began with a historical analysis of the Italian ready-to-wear experience from the 1980s to the present, examining the most representative designer labels. It then delved into the positioning of Italian fashion and luxury brands, following their strategic paths to envision future options for fashion market leaders. This was followed by an analysis of the evolution of organizational models and operations in relation to market changes, concluding with the introduction of “Cell Design,” the future approach to production processes in a fashion factory.

The event, aimed at encouraging cultural exchange between the two academic institutions, laid the foundation for a collaboration intended to increase the knowledge and skills of students from both entities through the integrated and coordinated development of specific academic projects.

On this occasion, Istituto Secoli, which has been providing some of the best fashion courses on the market for over 80 years, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), thus confirming its interest in the development and cooperation of fashion education with the Ivanovo regional area and the Ivanovo State Polytechnic University.
