On February 18, within the international footwear trade fair, space will be given to sustainability and young designers!

Istituto Secoli is participating in Micam within the special ‘MICAM X FASHION SQUARE’ area, the ideal setting for the “Elements of Sustainability” fashion show, created as part of the partnership between Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, Fashion Graduate Italia, and Micam.

On the runway is the ENSO collection by Micol Rizzi, a designer with a strong sensitivity for art in all its forms.

The core element of the ENSO capsule collection is the relationship with nature, expressed through eco-sustainable fabrics that lead back to the concept of being ‘gratifying for the eyes, spirit, and mind’. Two principles inspired ENSO: ‘ma’, which expresses emptiness, and ‘Kanji’ script used by monks. The former is expressed in the relationship between garment and body, recreated through wide garments tightened by cords or buttons and changing volumes. The latter is expressed by all-over prints made with natural dyes.

Micol comments, “When I was asked to participate in the “Elements of Sustainability” fashion show, I was honored. For me, it is a unique opportunity to show that producing innovative and sustainable clothing with a low environmental impact is feasible, as well as trendy. I want to make the most of this opportunity to introduce myself as an emerging designer with a focus on the “greener” side of the fashion world.
