The 20th edition of the HUMEN CUP—an international women’s fashion design competition for aspiring young designers—will be held in Humen Town (Dongguan), China, on November 21.

Istituto Secoli is participating in the contest with XINYA LI, Designer to Watch 2019, who was selected as the only student from an Italian school among the 30 finalists presenting original projects on the runway.

Xinya will present 8844.43 Rhapsody, the collection that opened this year’s Secoli Fashion Show. 8844.43 represents the height of Mount Everest, symbolizing a spiritual aura where calm reigns, in contrast with the rhapsody; the outfits feature a blend of technical and traditional fabrics, with primary colors that enhance the Tibetan architecture. .

Prizes for the winners include: one gold award, two silver awards, three bronze awards, and 10 excellence awards.
