It is a regular event in the academic year at Istituto Secoli, yet the Graduation Ceremony, now in its 70th edition, moves everyone involved every time: from the now “former” students who officially enter the professional world, to the teachers who proudly bid them farewell, to all the staff and the President.
But first things first: before the Ceremony, Prof. Danilo Migliorini, Chief Operating Officer of Istituto Secoli and project manager for corporate consulting, illustrated the different behaviors that can occur in groups of people working toward the same goal, explaining that the strength of a working group lies in diversity—that is, in the enhancement and integration of the qualities of its individual members.
An illustrious Secoli “alumnus” then spoke, Lodovico Zandegù, President of the exclusive IACDE association (International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives), who, after a passionate account of his own work experiences, wished the young graduates a career full of satisfaction, hoping to see the next President of the IACDE Club among them in a distant but vital future.
Then, Board Member Antonio Sgroi, representing ANTIA (National Association of Fashion System Professional Technicians), explained the benefits and importance of environmental sustainability for companies in the sector.
In conclusion, President Stefano Secoli greeted the new graduates after the customary thanks to the Metropolitan City, which hosted the Ceremony in the prestigious Council Hall of Palazzo Isimbardi, and to the speakers who, with great personality and expertise, were able to make an important contribution with timely and positive messages.
Today,” says Stefano Secoli, ” you have officially become part of a “family” that is synonymous with quality and expertise in the clothing world, but above all, has ethics and respect for the individual in its DNA. Two recommendations are therefore important: the first is to know how to enter the world of work with the right humility of a “beginner,” seizing every opportunity to learn and always acting ethically in the knowledge that one’s own well-being is found in the well-being of the group in which one operates; the second recommendation stems directly from the goal that the Institute sets and has set for itself since its foundation: with passion, boldness, and the awareness of having acquired an important “surname,” make beautiful clothes !
