The two-year Women’s Garment Making course at Istituto Secoli is designed for those who wish to perfect their skills in women’s clothing construction, deepening their knowledge of industrial manufacturing techniques. Aimed at those already working in the fashion industry or seeking to complete their professional training, the program enables students to acquire practical skills to create complete prototypes, attending to every detail while meeting professional quality standards.
During the course, students learn to independently assemble women’s garments, using the most appropriate industrial machines and selecting the most suitable manufacturing techniques for each type of garment. Focusing on women’s clothing, the program develops specific expertise in fit, proportions, volumes, and tailoring details, essential for constructing dresses, skirts, trousers, and blazers, transforming each project into a finished garment of professional quality.

The course is suitable for students who wish to complete their educational journey and fashion industry professionals who want to deepen and perfect their manufacturing techniques, acquiring solid skills in the industrial production of women’s clothing.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to work in various phases of women’s garment production, from prototyping to complete manufacturing, meeting industry quality standards. They can work as professionals within industrial companies, high-end tailoring establishments, or prototype workshops, or as freelancers, contributing with expertise and precision to the creation of prêt-à-porter collections.
Class Schedule
The course includes 90 hours of lessons each year.
Attendance is mandatory with classes one Saturday per month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:45 PM to 3:45 PM, for a total of 6 hours monthly.
The lessons will be delivered primarily in person, given the importance of laboratory activities in the curriculum, but with the support of various digital applications.
