The two-year Men’s Tailoring course at Istituto Secoli is designed for those who wish to perfect their skills in men’s clothing construction, delving into industrial manufacturing techniques. Aimed at those already working in the fashion industry or looking to complete their professional training, the program allows students to acquire practical skills to create complete prototypes, paying attention to every detail and meeting professional quality standards.
During the course, students learn to independently assemble men’s garments, using the most appropriate industrial machines and choosing the most suitable manufacturing processes for each type of garment. Focusing on menswear, the program develops specific skills in fit, proportions, volumes, and tailoring details, essential for constructing jackets, trousers, shirts, vests, and overcoats, transforming each project into a finished garment of professional quality.
Who is this course suitable for?
Students who wish to enter the fashion world through an Advanced Training program that ensures the acquisition of a solid core of knowledge, both theoretical and practical, aimed at bringing the academic experience closer to a real operational dimension and the demands of the professional world.
What are the career prospects?
At the end of the program, participants will be able to operate in the various phases of men’s garment production, from prototyping to complete construction, meeting industry quality standards. They will be able to work as professionals within industrial companies, high-end tailoring shops, or prototype laboratories, or as freelancers, contributing with expertise and precision to the creation of prêt-à-porter collections.
Class Schedule
The course includes 90 hours of lessons each year.
Attendance is mandatory with classes one Saturday per month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:45 PM to 3:45 PM, for a total of 6 hours monthly.
The lessons will be delivered primarily in person, given the importance of laboratory activities in the curriculum, but with the support of various digital applications.
