The 40th edition of the Secoli Fashion Show has also concluded: before a large audience, students reaching the end of their three-year course of study brought their collections to the runway. Once again, celebrating the anniversary alongside the Institute were: Regione Lombardia, which contributed to the realization of the initiative, the Municipality of Milan and the most important associations in the fashion sector: Antia, Camera Nazionale della Moda, IACDE, Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, Sistema Moda Italia.
The runway show opened with the collections from the ‘Designer To Watch’ project, followed by the Secoli Fashion Show 2023 inspired by the concept WHERE HERE — ‘What you create depends on what you see.
On the occasion of the 40th edition, the event format was enriched; guests enjoyed several contributions: they were welcomed at the entrance with a gift, a printed organic cotton t-shirt whose graphic subject, representing one of the different cultural eras that have followed from the 1980s to the present day, was created by second-year students; furthermore, before taking their seats alongside the runway, guests walked through an immersive and emotional journey through the history of the Secoli Fashion Show: musical video installations recounting the fashion shows that have taken place from 1984 to 2022; upon arriving in the hall before the fashion show, they were greeted by the virtual fashion show “4 DECADES OF SECOLI FASHION SHOW” featuring 5 outfits selected from the models that appeared in the 1985, 1996, 2010, 2016, and 2022 editions, summarizing the evolution of fashion from the 80s to today.
Closing the event, as every year, thanks to the support and collaboration of partner companies, was the award ceremony for students who demonstrated great commitment throughout their entire training path.
