“With the aim of transforming an objective problem, dictated by the current context, into an opportunity, we are integrating new study tools and methods into each training path that are accessible to everyone remotely,” comments Matteo Secoli, President of the Institute.
With these words, Secoli has also taken steps to address the spread of Coronavirus by moving the teaching of “fashion know-how” online. The Google Classroom application is being utilized, a Google web service for schools and universities that aims to simplify the creation and distribution of educational material, as well as the assignment and evaluation of online tasks.
Through the use of the platform, students will experience their study class in a “virtual” mode: available to everyone are not only lecture notes and video content for explanations and exercises, but also live lessons, in-depth conference calls, and tutoring activities moderated by teachers for the review of projects and theses.
Also under development is the idea of integrating a calendar of e-meetings that will allow students to meet some of the industry’s leading figures via the web, hearing about their direct experiences in the field.
The President concludes: “At this time, ensuring continuity for our students represents a priority for us.”
