Fashion has always interpreted the present to imagine and dress the future, celebrating the past by rethinking it.
In this ninth edition the aim was to highlight the relationship between memory and contemporaneity, to chart new paths. Fashion as time and perception.
The past and the future are two key concepts for the work and vision of young talents, and it is increasingly urgent to consider what the future that the fashion system envisions might be, which will be in the hands of today’s students, who will have the task of rethinking it in a new and conscious way.
Do you remember the future aims to be an invitation to face tomorrow consciously and anew.
BOOTH - EXHIBITION SPACE
The Istituto Secoli booth celebrates the creativity and technical expertise of Secoli designers through a selection of garments and projects created during the academic year.
In 2023, the outfits from the collections BEYOND THE MOMENT – BEYOND THE EMOTIONAL, signed by Ilaria Gerratana and Lisa Petroncini, were showcased during the Secoli Fashion Show in June.
Alongside the garments, the project “4 Decades of Young Trend-Setters” was also exhibited, an artistic-graphic interpretation of the last four decades of the Secoli Fashion Show. The graphics, later printed on organic cotton t-shirts, were reworked by the second-year classes, creating a visual narrative that combines memory, innovation, and experimentation.
BACKSTAGE AND RUNWAY
The backstage of Fashion Graduate Italia is a vibrant place where energy, emotion, and professionalism meet. Students, teachers, and the technical team work side by side to take care of every detail—from fitting to make-up—transforming the tension of preparation into pure creativity.
Then, when the lights come on, the magic moves to the runway: the dream of “making fashion” comes to life and passion becomes a spectacle.
PORTFOLIO REVIEW
A moment of direct interaction between students and industry professionals, the Portfolio Review is an opportunity to present one’s projects, receive targeted feedback, and build valuable connections with companies and talent scouts.
A formative dialogue that prepares young designers to face the world of work with awareness and vision.
The 2023 edition involved the Designer to Watch Anna and Silvia Crisfofolini.
Fashion Graduate Italia is the event that brings the fashion of the future to the stage and is the only one open to the public entirely dedicated to young talents who are writing the new chapter of fashion.
