The patternmaker is the professional who interprets and ‘puts on paper’ the designer’s ideas, translating a graphic sign into a project (the paper pattern) ready to be transferred onto fabric. It is the ‘heart’ of the design process that leads to the birth of a collection, and the skill of Italian patternmakers is one of the fundamental ingredients for Italian leadership in the fashion field. <\/p>\n
The academic year at Istituto Secoli begins in September and October 2013: with 78 years of tradition and success in patternmaking training, we offer patternmaking courses in numerous specializations and for every level of preparation.<\/b><\/p>\n
