On December 9, Matteo Secoli participated in the talk dedicated to the theme Fashion & Cuisine, on the occasion of the final event of the year of I Martedì di Fondazione Gualtieri. An unusual but surprisingly relevant topic, addressed by President Secoli together with:

Marina Spadafora, Italian National Coordinator of Fashion Revolution
Cristiano Tomei, Michelin-starred chef of the restaurant L’Imbuto
Ludovica Gualtieri, Secoli alumna and now an established designer

The meeting drew inspiration from the philosophy of Gualtiero Marchesi, who placed great value on manual skills, craftsmanship, and technical knowledge, considering them essential elements for unleashing creativity and building solid career paths.

From this vision, a lively dialogue emerged between different but surprisingly similar worlds—a discussion that highlighted a common language composed of technique, care in the selection of materials and/or ingredients, and a profound understanding of creative processes.

ONIVERSE PRESENTS ITSELF: JOB SPEED INTERVIEWS UNDERWAY AT THE INSTITUTE

Twenty-three former students, graduating seniors, and current students participated with great interest in the recent Career Day organized with Oniverse Group at the Secoli Headquarters.

We would like to thank the Human Resources Department for presenting the Group and its brands to our designers and for conducting the job speed-interview sessions with them.

For our students, the day represented a wonderful opportunity to connect with a leading Italian company in the fashion system, which currently owns eight brands in the apparel sector, and to introduce themselves in view of future professional opportunities.

In recent days, the Designer to Watch 2026 were announced: the best talents from our Fashion Academy, who will have the opportunity to present their collections on the most prestigious national and international runways.

ISTITUTO SECOLI TAKES CENTER STAGE AT FASHION GRADUATE ITALIA 2025 | BRIDGING TRIBES, BUILDING DREAMS

From October 28th to 30th, Fashion Graduate Italia 2025 took place at BASE Milano, the event that annually spotlights young fashion talents and the schools shaping their future. An event open to the city and dedicated to celebrating the creative force of new generations, promoted by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS and dedicated this year to the theme Bridging Tribes, Building Dreams – an invitation to build bridges between different cultures, visions, and identities through the universal language of fashion.
Among the protagonists was Istituto Secoli, which brought to the runway and discussion forums its contribution of methodology, expertise, and experimentation – values that have always distinguished its history and find full expression in the creativity of its students.
In this edition of Fashion Graduate Italia, the Institute participated with a program rich in activities: from the digital lecture “Knitwear 101: Thinking in Reverse”, where instructors Michele Fumagalli and Alice Molteni guided a vast audience in discovering the dialogue between fully-fashioned knitwear and traditional tailoring, to the presence of the Booth Secoli, transformed for the occasion into a point of dialogue between education, research, and industry on the value of technical training.

On display were two outfits created by students Cinzia Carecchio and Jocelyne Copelli from the Three-Year Course in Fashion Design and Fashion Product Technologies, inspired by the Perturbante collection, developed in collaboration with Candiani, an international reference for sustainable denim, and Lectra, a leader in digital design technologies.

On October 29th, it was time for the Designers to Watch – Secoli’s best talents, called to showcase their collections on the runway: seven young designers, seven fashion visions, for a fashion show that combined creativity, research, and expressive freedom.
